For those who I didn't tell the news to, I have enlisted in the US Airforce about 11 weeks ago. Yesterday I graduated BMT and am now on my way to going to tech school in Shephard AFB. Airforce basic training is supposed to only be 8 weeks, but I failed my PT (Physical Training) evaluation, so I had to go through the fitness program. 45 push-ups in a minute, 56 sit-ups in a minute, and an 11 minute, 14 second run time on a 1.5 mile track were my final scores when I returned to my training.
It feels pretty damn awesome walking around in my blue uniform and service coat on base liberty. TI's love to tear trainees down every chance they can, but when I walked by in that uniform as an Airman, their attitude was much more relaxed. It feels great being in the Airforce now.
